Cancel SRC Week and if possible lectures to Prevent covid-19

A contestant of Face of UPSA suggest the UPSA SRC cancel the SRC week to provide safety devices for students against the COVD-19.

This is the statement he made:

“I am overwhelmed to be given this opportunity to suggest to management and the SRC to cancel the Week Celebrations and if possible suspend lectures in order to curb the COVD-19 which is a virus circulating in our Country Ghana.

As we all know that about 20 cases reported in the country just  within less than a week the case was reported in our peaceful country. 

I will plead The SRC and management to put this in consideration and cancel the week celebrations because the lives of students will be at stake and hence students lives being at stake will lead to a bad reputation of the school and the teaching and learning process will deteriorate because lecturers and students who aren’t infected will desist from the teaching and learning.

So i urge with and the SRC to cancel the week celebrations and use that money for sanitizer and nose mask for to safeguard the lives in order for teaching and learning to commence because even sitting in class we sometimes don’t understand how much more suspending it and if it suspend someone might be infected but don’t know will bring it to campus and the virus will raise again so it is better providing the sanitizer and nose mask for us and the name of this institution will go far.

This is what I grieve for, for my students.
