A revolution is about to hit Ghana that is going to go down in the history of time and it has already started with a conversation and a set of practical steps. This revolution is being spearheaded by a Ghanaian- UK based Pastor, David Nii Adjaye ( DNA ) through a youth movement called CodeNation1957 (Code57).

Code57 : You had the opportunity to serve with the Air Training Corps squadron for 4years right ..?
How was the entire  experience there like .?

DNA : Yes I did served for 4 years at the Air training corps where I did my scolarship in flying and shooting.

Experience was actually great. I was always away on camping in different countries , had the opportunity of meeting the queen , got trained in rifle drills, learnt real discipline from there, where I was subjected under authority and also qualified as a drill inspector

Code57 : Why did you start code57 sir?

DNA : Growing up in a poor home my parents have always told me about the struggle that people faced especially the youths, and that’s why they had to leave Ghana for a better future. But even with that all we saw was struggles .

I was young then so there was nothing I could have done to help, but I always had it in my heart that when I grew up, I would go back home and help in my own capacity.

What birthed this vision is understanding the struggles and pain that people go through because I was also going through the same but just in a different location (London).

I was homeless at a point in my life sleeping in parks and buses for  2 good months so I know what it feels like .

I decided to sacrifice all I had when life got a bit better for me to help my fellow brothers and sisters.

What's your secret in networking with these great personalities..?

DNA : My secret is that, none of these people have been easy to see but when I get to the door and it’s closed I will always kick that door down, and I never turn back until I have that encounter.

Code57 : How is Pastoral life like?

DNA : Loool if you want to kill a man, ordain him as a pastor because people will finish him.

Code57 : What's your take on the pandemic and how African countries are handling the situation?

DNA : Well personally I believe it was too soon for the lockdown to be lifted up in Ghana but then again one can understand that government is also looking at the economy but the health of the people are still important however we just have to pray and hope they everything goes well.

Code57 : What’s your view on Akuffo Addo signing a deal for the supposed vaccine if it’s launched.?

DNA :  Well if he believes it’s right for the people under his government then it is what it is, but if the people do not think it’s right then the people will have to speak

Code57 : What do you think African countries should do to remain independent from western countries cos looks like they’re forced into making absurd deals out of their will power.?

DNA :  Change leadership

Code57 : Ghana has been changing leadership since Adam’s time but we are just seeing our leaders repeating the same mistakes other governments do

DNA : It’s not easy to change leadership but it is possible with time when the people speak ! Because, most of our current leaders are destroying Africa as a whole for their selfish reason and also not looking into the future and how it affects people

Personally I honestly have not seen State men who actually have a heart for the nation but I have seen politicians though who step into power to gain something from it and it’s deep especially when you are not serving the people

Code57 : Do you think Africa can truly be independent from these western influence..?

DNA :  We actually can, when Africa unites themselves and that’s the problem; we are not united

Code57 : Wat can we do to unite then ....cos looks like the mindsets of Africans have been polluted since  Colonization.

DNA :  I believe it all starts from individuals , because there you are sitting down, you cannot tell me a white man is controlling your mind so it’s starts from individuals coming together

Code57 :Do you think poverty is the cause of our leaders being selfish?

Yes I believe this
Don’t forget that these leaders have adopted a system and that system too is passed down to their line . So a prince is being trained to become a king with the same process the king went through.

Code57 : Is everyone created to be a leader and what makes one a leader ??

DNA :  Not everyone is created be a leader however there is power in following to become a leader.
Leadership is not a burden that everyone can carry

Code57 :  Your final words ....

DNA : Code57 family, thank u very much for having me and it's been an honour to be with you guys on this session.

One of the things I would like to say to you is to keep fighting. The journey may not be an easy journey but eventually we will get there.
The truth is that I believe and have hope in each and every one of you and I know that every single person here has a purpose to accomplish, especially serving our nation, Ghana. I speak with you guys tonight with a great joy in my heart knowing that a set of youths or a generation  can rise up to stand for change. I believe that the Nation of Ghana has been waiting for this change for so long and we now have what it takes make this happen. Our families depend on us , our children depend on us, our next generation depends on us to make this happen. So we can't afford to fail.
I love each and every single person here dearly and I know together as we fight on this journey we will make things work and make Ghana Proud.

Thank You.

I hope you enjoyed the above conversation with the founder of code57. If you share in his vision, don't hesitate to join a code57 near you to be part of the these young change makers.

Indeed Ghana Shall Prosper !
