Five Member Commission of Enquiry Formed To Investigate Monetary Transactions During The UPSA-SRC Akwaaba Week and Local NUGS Week Celebrations.
Five member commission of enquiry has been set up by General Assembly members on the last sitting of the first semester to investigate into transactions during the UPSA-SRC Akwaaba week and Local National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) week celebrations.
Actually the formation of the five member commission of enquiry was decided by the UPSA-SRC General Assembly members on the last sitting of the first semester but was set up on Friday 7th of February, 2020 at the suggestion of the Speaker, Honourable Prince Courage Gavi.
The UPSA-SRC Akwaaba week was done to welcome fresher's and Local NUGS week celebration was held during the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year.
The chairman of the commission is the person if Ibrahim Abdul-Aziz who is a level 400 student offering business administration and also happens to be the Vice president of Association of Business Administration Students (ABAS).
He is the immediate past Speaker of ABAS senate and former majority leader UPSA-PH. He was the head of commission of enquiry for ABAS 2018/2019 academic year.
The deputy-chair for the commission is the person of Pobee Enoch. He is a level 300 Accounting student who happens to be the Speaker of Department of Accounting Students Association(DASA) ,Majority leader of the 8th UPSA Parliament House and the External Affairs director of the Civic and Integrity club,UPSA.
The secretary for the commission is the person of Naziha Amin Gombilla, a level 200 law student. She is the Senate of the UPSA Law Students Union and also an assistant moot court organiser.
The rest of the commission members are Aseidu Bernard Adjei (Level 400 Accounting student) and Perpetual Mensah (Level 200 Law student).
At the first General Assembly meeting of the second semester, where the commission was formed, Honorable Prince Courage Gavi gave the members a maximum of two weeks to complete their work and submit their report.
